You can make your Chapter 13 trustee payments with a Mastercard or Discover debit card. This article covers the cards accepted for trustee payments through TFS and PayMyTrustee.
Cards we accept
- Mastercard debit cards
- Discover debit cards
The card must be a personal debit card connected to your bank account.
Cards we can’t accept
- Credit cards, including Mastercard and Discover credit cards.
- Prepaid cards, such as reloadable cards and gift cards.
- Business or corporate cards, even if they are debit cards.
- Visa and American Express cards. We’re working on adding Visa debit cards, so check back soon.
How to tell if your card will work
- Look for the word DEBIT on the front of the card, along with the Mastercard or Discover logo.
- If the card says PREPAID or BUSINESS, we can’t accept it.
- Not sure? Call the number on the back of your card and ask your bank whether it’s a personal debit card.
